I’m a firm believer in “the cup is half full” philosophy and I strive to instill a positive outlook on all issues affecting my patients’ life, options, and medical care. In addition to thoracic surgery, I care for patients who may have a multitude of emotions, questions, and anxieties regarding their disease. I believe in the team approach of integrated care and look forward to guiding my patients through their health care decisions.
I completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, in the thoracic track, with a portion of my training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I also had an academic appointment as a faculty thoracic surgeon at James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital, University of South Florida before joining Kaiser Permanente.
I joined the Department of Surgery at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara in August 2016.
A native Californian, I was born in Irvine and grew up in Cupertino. In my spare time, I enjoy reading autobiographies of past United States presidents.
