Lowell Su, MD

As a thoracic surgeon, my highest priority is providing safe and excellent surgical care to my patients. I believe this care is achieved by tailoring the correct surgical operation for each patient, attaining excellent surgical outcomes with minimal pain and complications, providing support in both the preoperative and postoperative settings, and approaching each patient in a holistic manner. Due to the complexity of thoracic disease processes, I firmly believe that treatment is best served in a team-approach philosophy where multiple practitioners and experts in different fields contribute to provide the best possible treatment and care for our patients.

I graduated in 2010 from St. George’s University School of Medicine. I completed my thoracic surgery residency training at Tufts University Medical Center and a thoracic surgery fellowship at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2020.

My expertise is focused on treating chest and foregut disease through robotic, videoscopic minimally invasive, and open approaches.
