Richard Bloom, MD

In addition to being a Kaiser Permanente physician, I am also a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine. The Surgery Department of Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara is an affiliated institution of the Stanford University School of Medicine and its Surgical Residency Program.

I was the recipient of a Young Investigator Award through the American Lung Association for my work on acute lung injury and diseases of the respiratory system.

I joined the Department of Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara in 1992.
