I believe that a successful operation is the culmination of knowledge, skill, and teamwork, enhanced with compassion and diligence. Our job as doctors is to take a truly huge challenge and turn it into something as routine and stress-free as possible for our patients. We cannot promise the ideal outcome for each and every patient, but we can promise we did everything possible to achieve it.
My areas of clinical interest are the treatment of lung cancer, minimally invasive surgery, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research and databases.
I have worked for Kaiser Permanente, based in Hayward and Fremont, since 2007.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, but have spent essentially my entire life in the United States. I was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. After medical school, I migrated west for surgical training in the UCSF East Bay program.
